About Turquoise:

The vibrant appearance of pure turquoise is so aesthetically pleasing, that it has been ordained an official colour in itself! It has been valued as an ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to this colour. It is said that the name relates to the fact that it was brought to Europe by the Turks.

Known as the sky stone by Tibetan and Nepalese people, turquoise has been held sacred by people in the Himalayas for thousands of years. Children in Tibet are often gifted this gemstone in their early years to keep them safe in their journey through life.

Symbolism:

As in ancient times, turquoise is still considered by many as the master healer and is believed to be beneficial when it comes to physical and emotional healing. As in antiquity, it is still believed to protect as well as bestow goodness, prosperity and good fortune. Some see it especially as a bringer of rain.

Turquoise represents wisdom, tranquillity, peace of mind, communication, truth, friendship, loyalty and hope.
