Turquoise Eternity Ring (December Birthstone)

Natural turquoise copper eternity ring, handmade with love and care. Size of gemstones are 3-4 mm each. There are between 4 and 6 gemstones depending on the size of stones and finger size.

Rings come beautifully packaged in a jewellery box with gemstone info card and care guide. 

Jewellery pieces are created by a process called copper electroforming, which allows for the deposition of copper electrolytes over several hours in a copper/acid solution. This results in unique and unpredictable textures, as the entire process is organic.

Please be aware that the colour of copper darkens over time, and the item can be cleaned using a sachet of Copperbrite and a soft cloth. (Available here) 

Copper can potentially turn the skin green as it reacts with the chemicals in some skins. A coat of clear nail polish will prevent this.

The vibrant appearance of pure turquoise is so aesthetically pleasing, that it has been ordained an official colour in itself! It has been valued as an ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its colour. It is said that the name relates to the fact that it was brought to Europe by the Turks.

Known as the sky stone by Tibetan and Nepalese people, turquoise has been held sacred by people in the Himalayas for thousands of years. Children in Tibet are often gifted this gemstone in their early years to keep them safe in their journey through life.
