FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How can I determine my ring size? To accurately measure your ring size, we recommend visiting a jewellery store. This quick process will ensure a proper fit for your ring. Alternatively, you can purchase the Ring Multisizer, a very intelligent little gadget to get the correct measurement. It is available herePlease double-check your size before placing an order!

2. Can I request a resizing for my ring? Absolutely, for South African clients, resizing is possible. You will be responsible for the courier expenses along with a resizing fee of R150. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns for resizing from International clients.

3. Will copper rings cause my skin to discolour? There is a possibility. Copper can react with certain individuals' skin chemistry, resulting in a greenish mark. This isn't an allergic response and poses no harm. While our rings are coated with a protective sealant, it wears off over time due to regular use. Applying a layer of clear nail polish on the inner ring band can help prevent skin discoloration. Additionally, certain jewelry items like chains, plain copper earrings, and stacking rings are plated with rose gold. To maintain the plating's integrity, avoid wearing these items while swimming or showering.

4. How should I maintain my jewellery's quality? Here are some care recommendations: Refrain from wearing jewellery while engaging in physical activities, swimming, bathing, or sleeping. Also, keep your jewellery away from perfumes, lotions, detergents, and other chemicals to ensure its longevity.

5. Is the jewelry I order gift-wrapped? Certainly! Your order will be elegantly wrapped for gifting. Each piece is thoughtfully packaged, including all relevant information cards. To minimize environmental impact, we may place multiple jewelry pieces within the same box. If you require an extra box, kindly indicate this in the "Note to Seller" section during checkout, and we will happily accommodate your request.

6. Are natural gemstones and crystals used in your jewelry? Absolutely, all our jewelry features natural gemstones and crystals. Some may appear in their raw state and could exhibit imperfections. 8. How should I clean my copper jewellery? Maintaining the lustrous look of your copper jewellery is essential. We recommend these methods for cleaning:

  • Copperbrite: Our preferred option for cleaning is Copperbrite, which you can find available here. This specialized solution effectively restores the shine of your copper jewelry.

  • Home Remedies: You'll also find numerous home remedies online for cleaning copper jewelry. However, please ensure they are safe for jewelry and won't damage the pieces.

Furthermore, with regular wear and handwashing, your rings tend to naturally regain their shine.

 9. I've noticed that the rose gold plating on some of my copper jewelry items, like chains, stacking rings, and earrings, tends to fade over time and expose a silver-coloured layer underneath. Why is that?

When jewellery is rose gold plated, a very thin layer of silver is applied to the surface of the copper base. This is only to achieve a suitable bond for the plating. The silver colour you're seeing is the thin layer that sits between the copper and the rose gold plating. However, over time and with wear, this plating will wear off, as all plating inevitably do, to reveal the copper underneath.
