Using the copper electroforming technique, copper electrolytes are deposited over hours in a copper-acid solution, resulting in organic textures that are truly one-of-a-kind. Each pendant symbolizes love and carries a deep sense of meaning.
Please be aware that the colour of copper darkens over time, and the item can be cleaned using a sachet of Copperbrite and a soft cloth. (Available here)
Copper can potentially turn the skin green as it reacts with the chemicals in some skins. A coat of clear nail polish will prevent this.
About Citrine:
Citrine is the yellow variety of the quartz crystal. The name for citrine most likely comes from the Latin word citrina meaning yellow, or the French citron meaning lemon. Its warm golden colour is said to be a gift from the sun. Appreciation for this popular yellow gemstone dates as far back as 300 BC to 150 BC, where citrine has not only been used for decorative purposes, but also for protection.
It was also very popular for jewellery in the 19th century. During the Art Deco period between World Wars 1 and 2, large citrines were set in many prized pieces, worn by stars such as Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford.
Birthstone: November (together with topaz)
Anniversary stone: 13th and 17th
