About Black Tourmaline:
Tourmaline crystals are naturally electrically polarised and actually contain electric fields as a result. For this reason, they are referred to as the Sri Lankan magnets, as they have the ability to attract and repel hot ashes. Black Tourmaline is known as schorl and is considered the tourmaline with the highest positive energy.
Schorl is used in the walls of space stations, as it absorbs electromagnetic or solar radiation, and it is seen to protect and repel negative energy.
