Natural gemstone and copper

The gemstones, ranging from 12-14mm, are raw and unpolished, so you might notice a few “imperfections”—but we believe these only add to the beauty and individuality of each creation!

Each jewellery piece is crafted using copper electroforming, a process where copper is deposited over several hours in a copper-acid solution. This organic process results in wonderfully unique and unpredictable textures.

While copper can sometimes cause the skin to turn green due to a reaction with certain skin types, this isn’t harmful and can easily be prevented with a coat of clear nail polish

As garnets were thought to resemble the seeds of the pomegranate, the word is derived from its Latin name. Garnet is a stone with a long history, dating as far back as 3 800 BC. The gemstone was used in Ancient Egyptian art and jewellery and it was valued as sacred by the Native American Indians, the South American Indians, the African tribal elders, the Mayans and the Aztecs.

Garnets come in a wide variety of colours, the most famous colour being deep red or the pyrope garnet.
