Down to Earth Jewellery

Small Open Emerald Ring

Welcome to our world of exquisite copper jewelry, where we create each piece with pure love and care. Our natural raw emerald copper open ring is a testament to the magnificence of nature and the beauty of handcrafted jewellery.

We believe that imperfections make things unique, and so we use unpolished raw gemstones in our creations. These gemstones are handpicked and range from 6-8mm, making each piece one-of-a-kind. The organic nature of the copper electroforming process adds unpredictable textures, making each piece a work of art.

When you purchase one of our pieces, you not only receive a stunning piece of jewellery but also a story. Our jewellery comes beautifully packaged, ready for gifting, with a gemstone info card that tells you about the stone's properties and care instructions. We put a thank you note in every package because we are truly grateful for your support.

Please note that each Natural Raw Emerald Copper Open Ring is made by hand with great care and attention to detail. As such, we kindly ask that you allow 2-3 working days for your ring to be made and shipped to you. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and assure you that the wait will be well worth it once you hold this stunning piece of jewellery in your hands.

Copper jewellery is timeless, and as it ages, it develops a rich, dark patina that only adds to its beauty. If you want it bright and shiny again, we recommend cleaning it with Copperbrite and a soft cloth, available here: Copperbrite and/or polishing cloth – Down to Earth Jewellery

We understand that some skin types may react to copper, but fear not, a simple coat of clear nail polish can prevent this. Our commitment to you is that we will always provide the best quality products and exceptional customer service.

About Emerald:

Probably the most valuable of the four famous precious gemstones, emeralds have been admired for their beauty and bold green colour for millennia. We often think of diamonds when we think of rare and expensive gemstones, but emeralds are more than 20 times more rare than diamonds. Emerald is the green variety of the family of beryl.  Known from as early as 2 000 BC, Cleopatra’s passion for emeralds is well documented. It was also named as the fourth foundation stone in the wall of the new Jerusalem.

Some estimate that the oldest emeralds are around 2.97 billion years old.

Birthstone: May

Anniversary stone: 20th, 35th and 55th

Symbolism:

As the jewel of Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty, the emerald has been known as a “stone of successful love”. It is seen as a symbol of loyalty, truth, unity, unconditional love, partnership and domestic bliss. It is also believed to enhance compassion, sensitivity and patience towards oneself and others.
