Down to Earth Jewellery

Large Open Pink Tourmaline Ring

There's something truly special about wearing a piece of jewellery that has been made with love and care, like this natural amethyst copper open ring. Handmade to perfection, every piece is a unique work of art that captures the beauty of the raw and unpolished gemstones, measuring 10-12mm each.

Please allow 3-5 working days for your ring to be custom-made in your finger size.

Thanks to the copper electroforming process used to create these rings, each piece has a unique and unpredictable texture that adds to its individuality and charm.

This ring is a wonderful solution for anyone with arthritis or other conditions that cause enlarged knuckles, as the ring can be adjusted to fit comfortably over the knuckle and then tightened around the base of the finger. And with a range of ring sizes to choose from, you're sure to find the perfect fit for you.

Each piece comes beautifully packaged and ready for gifting, complete with a relevant gemstone info card, thank you note, and care instructions. While the color of the copper may darken over time, you can keep your ring looking as good as new with a sachet of Copperbrite, available here

And if you're worried about copper potentially turning your skin green, simply apply a coat of clear nail polish to prevent any reaction with your skin's natural chemicals.

So why settle for ordinary jewellery when you can wear something truly special? Treat yourself or someone you love to a natural gemstone copper open ring and enjoy the beauty of this stunning piece.

About Pink Tourmaline:

Believed to have derived from the Sinhalese word turamali, this gemstone can be found in almost all colours - from the deepest of blues and greens, to the lightest of pinks and yellows. Ancient Egyptians believed tourmaline had such an impressive variety of colours, because it broke through a rainbow while pushing its way up to earth. When viewed from different angles, the colour in a single gemstone can appear to be completely different and may showcase a separate set of hues, a characteristic called pleochroism.

Tourmaline also becomes electrically charged when heated. When charged, it can attract dust and small paper scraps. When Dutch traders discovered this property, they used warmed tourmaline to draw out ashes from their pipes and named the stone “Aschetrekker”, which means “ash puller”.

Birthstone:  One of the birthstones for October (with opal)

Anniversary stone: 8th
