Description

Natural moonstone copper studs with stainless steel posts and butterflies.

Material

Natural gemstones, 6-8mm in size, set in copper.

Both the posts that go through the ear and the butterflies are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel, ensuring comfort and safety.

We use raw, unpolished gemstones, so you might notice some “imperfections”—but we believe these only enhance the unique beauty of each piece!

The studs are crafted through copper electroforming, a process where copper is deposited over several hours in a copper-acid solution. This organic method creates wonderfully unique textures, adding to the charm of each earring.

While copper can sometimes cause the skin to turn green due to a reaction with certain skin types, this isn’t harmful and can easily be prevented with a coat of clear nail polish

About Moonstone:

Moonstone is a flashy translucent member of the feldspar family, a cousin to labradorite and sunstone. Ancient Romans believed that moonstone was solidified rays of the moon. It derives its name from an effect called adularescence - the optical phenomenon that causes the extraordinary glow on the surface of the stone. The light dances across the stone much like moonlight would glide across a large body of calm water.

Symbolism:

In ancient times, the moonstone was said to elicit deep passion between lovers. Moonstone is also believed to represent intuition, abundance, femininity and nurturing energy. Due to its connection to the moon, it is thought to represent new beginnings. It is also associated with health, nourishment and longevity.

Once called the traveller’s stone, moonstone was also used as protection against the dangers of travel.

Furthermore, with regular wear and handwashing, copper tends to naturally regain its shine.

For most of our rings, custom scallop shells, and pansies, which are crafted to your specific requirement, please allow 3-5 working days for production before shipping.
For our gemstone cuff bracelets, please allow 3-5 working days for creation.
Our hammered flat bangles and round hammered bangles, made to your size, require 5 working days before shipping.
All other in-stock pieces will be dispatched the next working day after your order is placed.
