Long before a gemstone is cut, polished and set into jewellery, it begins its journey deep beneath the earth's surface.
Over millions of years, minerals crystallise under immense heat and pressure, creating the gemstones we treasure today.
When they're first discovered, they don't look like the sparkling jewels you see in shop windows.
They look... natural.
Their colours are often softer. Their surfaces are textured. Some are translucent, while others are beautifully opaque. Tiny inclusions, markings and variations tell the story of how each stone was formed.

Why We Leave Them Raw
Many gemstones are cut and polished to maximise their brilliance and create a uniform appearance.
For our Birthstone Collection, we chose a different path.
We wanted to celebrate each gemstone in its natural form.
There's something incredibly special about holding a stone that still looks much as it did when it was discovered. You can appreciate its natural shape, its earthy colours and the individuality that millions of years of geological history have created.
Rather than changing the stone, we let its own character shine.
